Joint Communiqué on Climate, Peace and Security in the Horn of Africa
This Joint Communiqué was adopted following the Horn of Africa Regional Validation Workshop on Climate, Peace and Security, held in April 2026. Convened by the Life & Peace Institute (LPI) and the IGAD Climate Prediction and Applications Centre (ICPAC), the workshop brought together IGAD Member States, international partners, and civil society actors to validate regional evidence and align on policy priorities.
