LES FEMMES: Photography and peace On the 13th of October the Life & Peace Institute and Kvinna till Kvinna successfully opened the photo exhibition, LES FEMMES, at Fredens Hus (House of Peace) in Uppsala, Sweden.

The photo exhibition, which aims to show the lives of women in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), was opened by the Chairperson of Fredens Hus, Ing-Mari Munktell. LPI’s executive director, Lennart Molin introduced LPI’s work in eastern DRC and briefed about the methodology Participatory Action Research Method (PAR) for conflict transformation. The photographer Cato Lein and Anna Lithander from Kvinna till Kvinna who talked about the photos and the joint project were also present. The photo exhibition runs for 6 weeks and on November 17 there will be a major seminar with speakers and music. For more information follow LPI on twitter and facebook.
