International Advisory Council meet for high-level discussions

The Life & Peace Institute’s (LPI) International Advisory Council and senior staff from the regions and the headquarters have met for consultations and strategic planning. The “high-level meeting” took place in October at Yaya Village (at 2 700 metres above sea level) outside Addis Ababa, the training centre for Ethiopian athletes and conference venue owned by Haile Gebre-Selassie.

“We are now fit for an exciting time of planning our future conflict transformation and peacebuilding endeavours,” says LPI Executive Director Peter K Sjögren, with a smile. “We are very happy for this opportunity to dialogue with a number of renowned expert peacebuilders from various countries and contexts, and to seek their advices and analysis on the development. Over the coming year, we will develop our strategic plan for the period 2017-2021.”
